- Do not massage or rub the treated area for the next 4 hours.
- Do not lie down for the next 4 hours.
- You may contract the muscles in the treated area as much as you like.
- Some activities may influence the uptake of toxin into the treated muscles including:
- vigorous physical activity
- alcohol consumption
- Make-up may be applied immediately after injection (mineral make-up is preferred)
- The onset of action is usually within 5-7 days, and maximum effect may not occur for up to 2 weeks.
- A review appointment will be organized after 2 weeks to assess the results of your treatment.
- Top up doses may be required at this 2 week review.
- Please contact us if any of the following occur:
- excessive discomfort at the treatment site
- droopy eyelids
- bruising
- any signs of infection, cold sores or school sores
- any other concerns
